Thrive Together Initiatives
Thrive Together Initiatives provide college students with a means to support and get involved in local communities as they work to solve problems by working directly with community members. We at Thrive Together are always looking to support more communities within the state of North Carolina. Please contact us to learn more.
The Young Scholars Program
est. 2023
Thrive Together has partnered with CC Spaulding Elementary School in Durham NC to provide Saturday-enrichment activities in health, journalism, and business to 3rd-5th graders; we also assist CC Spaulding with other activities including student retention and engagement and co-curricular activities. We are also supporting CC Spaulding in the creation of a student science fair to increase enthusiasm in science-related careers.
As of November 2024, we are supporting educators at Murray Massenburg Elementary in Durham NC with STEM-focused enrichment activities for 4th and 5th graders!
The Journalism Project
est. 2024
Thrive Together members collaborate to create data-driven and meaningful health based articles centered around real world issues while increasing awareness of current health policies (for example: access to low-cost nutritious food). Articles are posted to The Forum.
